Chaga

Inonotus obliquus
Otherantioxidantimmuneadaptogen

Chaga is a parasitic fungus that grows primarily on birch trees in cold northern climates, forming a hard, charcoal-black mass with a rich amber interior. Revered in Siberian folk medicine as the 'King of Mushrooms' and a potent anti-ageing tonic, chaga contains the highest ORAC antioxidant score of any food — primarily from melanin and triterpenes derived from the birch tree's betulinic acid. It modulates immune function and has demonstrated anti-tumour activity in preclinical research.
