Eyebright

Euphrasia officinalis
Westerneye healthanti-inflammatoryastringent

Eyebright has been used since the Middle Ages specifically for eye complaints — conjunctivitis, eye strain, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis. Its astringent and anti-inflammatory properties make it suited to reducing mucous membrane inflammation whether used internally as a tea or topically as a cooled eye wash. It also eases hayfever symptoms and upper respiratory catarrh.
